| As an important component of engineering applications, wire ropes are widelyused in various fields of national economy and social life, security incidents caused bywire rope damages and fracture is a direct threaten to human life safety and propertyloss. Therefore, it has an important significance for safe use and scientific managementto study the damages of wire rope in service. There are damages such as wear and tear, corrosion, fatigue cracks, deformationand surface damages (mainly including crushing injury and hitting injury) during thelong-term process of wire rope, on the one hand, these damages will decrease intensityof wire rope, on the other hand, these damages will lead to the changes of materialcomposition and micro-organization structure, leading to the changes of interalmagnetic characteristic parameters of the wire rope. So,based on the measurement ofmagnetic characteristic to detect damages and changes of material composition of wirerope has been studied, also single-valued correspondence among micro-structurechanges, damages such as crack and relative permeability; On this basis, the overallprogram of detection and diagnosis of the wire rope safety condition based on magneticcharacteristic parameters(relative permeability) has been put out; Detection circuit andflexibility excitation circuit to adjust have been designed, production of the exciter anddetecter have been made; The theory of detecting wire rope magnetic parameters anddetection signal characteristics have been studied. A signal conditioning circuit andLABVIEW-based signal acquisition and processing hardware and software systemshave been designed.Based on the damage detection system, testing research has developed, thecontents mainly include:(1) the influence of the excitation frequency, excitationintensity and temperature drift to the test results have been studied, and determined therelevant parameters through the trials comparing;(2) the magnetic parameter detectionfor the specimen of different carbon content, different micro-organizational structureand different crack have been made. The experiment proves that the damages of the wire rope can be tested throughdetecting changes in magnetic parameters with this detection system. |
