The research about the optimization of developing well pattern is always a very key topic in oilfield development program, it is the important technology that ensures continuity of the oilfield production and realizes the economic benefits of the oilfield enterprises. Developing well pattern system is a subsystem of complex dynamic system of oilfield development, which is made of each single-well. Currently low permeable oilfield well pattern system optimization comes up against problems that make a compromise:from the oilfield geological characteristics and the economic benefit of development, it is widely believed that the ideal development result can be gained only in smaller well spacing and bigger well density, but this can lead improving the number of well drilling and increasing cost. From the view of system, this paper focused on the technology staff of oilfield development how to better solve the optimization question of developing well pattern system from the global angle, used a combination of system engineering theory, correlation analysis method, the grey relational analysis method, the optimization method and economic comprehensive analysis method, and research on the optimization question of developing well pattern system. The main research work and achievements in this paper include:(1) Based on geological characteristics and seepage flow patterns in low permeability oil field, using correlation analysis and logical relationship, the paper has analyzed output and input indexes of the developing well pattern system. By consulting related numerical simulation method for researching well pattern or literatures from developers, experts, and researchers, combining the qualitative analysis, the important influencing factors of well pattern has been selected. According to the statistics information from different low permeable oilfield development well pattern, used the grey correlation analysis method and calculated correlation size of well density and its influence factors; then the indexes systems of different types of low permeability oil field developing well pattern system have been constructed by synthesizing the above results.(2) Methods of the well pattern and a calculation method of macro well density have been researched and idenfied based on identify developing well pattern index system, the optimization model of low permeable oilfield well pattern system has been established in the light of oilfield development theory, economic comprehensive analysis method, and theory and method of system optimization.(3) For optimization model of developing well pattern system, using optimization method, solving method of this optimization model has been put forward. The case study shows that established multi-objective optimization model is correct, and the method solution is feasible and effective. In this paper, the research idea and method can give some valuable suggestions for studying complex dynamic system optimization, and the results can guide the design optimization and layout of developing well pattern of low permeable oilfield in practice.
