| In recent years,with the rapid development of the world’s oil industry, more and more oil researchers recognize that the completion plays an important role in the development process of the oil and gas fields, so the technology of completion has been developed rapidly. The level of completion design and the quality of construction have a vital influence in achieving desired targets and economic benefits in oil field development.Carboniferous carbonate reservoir in the BaShiTuo region buried deeply, Reservoir heterogeneity and formation of longitudinal fractures. Different wells have different well conditions, while the general pre-completion method is simple and not having targeted. For vertical wells, either openhole completion or perforated completion is used, then carrying out the acid fracturing operation according to the oil-testing situation. For horizontal wells, using openhole completion is general, and then carrying out general acid pressure transformation before putting into production according to the oil-testing situation. While drilling, we often encounter multiple crack or fissure cave system in the long horizontal wells, so current completion method can not meet current sub-acid fracturing needs. For the bottom water reservoir, the current level of well completion method is also unable to meet the future needs of sub-water shutoff. Therefore, the corresponding completion method and the completion of the selection process need further optimization and research.The Carboniferous reservoir is high temperature and pressure, existing bottom water, and formation fluid is corrosive. In this paper, we take the actual cores of the strata, analog high temperature and pressure, and measure the Carboniferous strata of rock mechanics parameters. We obtain the elastic modulus, the poisson’s ratio, the tensile strength and the compressive strength. Using the actual well logging data of the core layer and combinating the mechanical parameters of rock of lab, we determine the vertical distribution between strength and stress of the Carboniferous rocks and provide the basis for optimizating completion method. Comprehensive analyzing the mohr-coulumb and the Von.Mises shear failure of rock solid level of theory and theory of "C" formula calculation, get the Conclusion:the use of theoretical calculations of the shear failure show that the hole of the Carboniferous strata is stable. But the extent of using the rock solid theoretical calculations show that the production of high pressure can make the hole instability. Overall, the openhole completion is feasible. At the same time, I make a survey of the similar completion method using at domestic and international oilfield and make analysis and coMParison of the openhole completion, slotted liner completion, with ECP slotted liner completion, perforated pipe completion, perforated pipe with ECP completions segment completion and other well completion method’s advantages, disadvantages and the applicable geological conditions. For strata-based level to sidetrack wells, proposed the concept of dynamic completion. Determine the completion methods and propose the segment completion method that use ECP of pipe with blind pipe packer add screen for bottom water reservoir of the openhole series.
