In recent years, with the increase of tourism development and human activities inQinghai Lake region, the physical and chemical properties of soil become focus ofattention, It caused the degree of soil pollution is worsening; The study of soil magneticsusceptibility and metal contents in the spatial distribution characteristics and pollutionLakes region’s economic development and land use planning has an importantsignificance.Soil magnetic susceptibility and the contents of elements belonging to the space ofcontinuous variables, it has the regionalizing variable characteristic, combination ofgeostatistics and GIS application to spatial distribution of soil magnetic susceptibility andmetal elements pollution evaluation and research in recent years has become morecommon; This article to the Qinghai Lake area as the object of study, it has to analyze themagnetic susceptibility and each item of metallic element distribution characteristics anddegree of contamination as the target, it through to studies the area66surface soilsamples to carry on the magnetic susceptibility parameter and the metallic elementcontent analysis test. It systematically summarized the research area soil magneticsusceptibility characteristic and has carried on the magnetic susceptibility, relevantresearch initially between the soil metallic elements. It uses by the generation of surfaceway production soil magnetic susceptibility and Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr, K, Mg, Mn, Fe, Na, Ca,ten metallic element content spatial distribution map and Studies their spatial distributioncharacteristic; Also it has carried on the soil single item pollution index appraisal and thesynthesis pollution index appraisal for Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr, Four kinds of heavy metal elementsand Visual evaluation results carried out on space.
