Roll bending forming is a very complicated process. It has the following features:one is multiprocess and deformation also has great, the other are lateral deformation and longitudinal deformation of both. With the demand of high quality and diversifying product is increasing,the traditional analytic method and empirical design are difficult to provide accurate guidance for the production process and forming technology,and the product accuracy, design and debug cycle is far less than the demand of the customers. So roll bending steel process optimization design become an urgent need to address the issue. A shutter door forming equipment is took for design object.First of all, the paper expound research status of the roll bending forming technology, the development present situation and future development trend.Then, Based on the roll bending forming pass design method, combined with the request of its clients, used the roll bending forming professional design software COPRA for computer aided design of section deformation process and roll, combined with computer simulation technology and DOE technology to get’the optimum process parameter combination.As the deformation technology module of COPRA only consided the material bending deformation, so ABAQUS was needed to simulate the further inspection pass, study the law of the sheet metal forming and predict the possible problems. According to the forming defects, modify the forming scheme, perfected the process system. Through the roll bending forming process of numerical simulation, Verified the rationality of the design of groove,and studied the law of sheet thickness, friction coefficient, forming velocity on the forming quality.Next, used ABAQUS to springback analysis, combined with the explicit and implicit analysis method. Compared with the result of simulation, BISWAS calculation and actual measurement. Studied the influence law of different material and thickness act on springback result.It provides some reference basis of the actual production and the follow-up research.Finally, Through the process of the unit test, verified the correctness of the simulation process and computer aided design.
