In recent years, polymers as water treatment are widely used in industry, which provided an opportunity to monitor the concentration of water treatment. Bringing fluorescent tracer technique into water treatment to make monitoring agent automatize is always the research hotspot in the industry.In this paper, three new quaternary ammonium salts were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR,’HNMR and MS, which named dimethyl-(4-(7-methoxyl coumarin))-methyl-(propenylacylamino)-propyl-ammonium bromide (DMMPAB), dimethyl-(4-(7-methoxyl coumarin))-methyl-(propenyl-acyloxy)-ethyl-ammonium bromide (DMMEAB) and dimethyl-(4-(7-acetoxyl coumarin))-methyl-(propenylacylamino)-propyl-ammonium bromide (DMAPAB), respectively. The synthesis conditions were optimized by single factor experiments. The effect on the synthesis rate of reactant ratio, solvent polarity, reaction temperature, reaction time and addition of polymerization inhibitor or not were investigated.Moreover, the thermal stability of the three compounds was studied by TG-DTA. The influence of the three new quaternary ammonium salts on corrosion behavior of mild steel in1.0mol/L HCl solutions has been studied by electrochemical measurement, weight loss measurement and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The synthesized inhibitors showed high inhibition efficiency on the Q235mild steel. And the compounds also had good fluorescent behaviors and good linear relationship with the equal concentration gradient in distilled water.The three new quaternary ammonium salts were copolymerized with sodium acrylate (AAS), respectively. And three new water soluble copolymer DMMPAB-AAS, DMMEAB-AAS and DMAPAB-AAS were gained. The products wre characterized by FT-IR, which solid content, viscosity-average molar mass and Brookfield viscosity were measured.In order to get the ideal viscosity-average molar mass of the synthesized copolymers, the single factor experiments were conducted. The effect on viscosity number of reactant ratio, the dosage of initiator, reaction temperature, the dosage of molecular weight regulator and reaction time were also studied to screen out the best reaction conditions.Additionally, the performance tests by electrochemical measurement, weight loss measurement and SEM indicate that the synthesized copolymers are excellent corrosion inhibitors. And the synthesized copolymers also have good fluorescent behaviors and good linear relationship with the equal concentration gradient in distilled water. The scale inhibition tests proved that the synthesized copolymers have good Scale inhibition performance.At last, the corrosion effects for the synthesized copolymers after compounded with bamboo leaves extract werestudied, and there’s a conclusion that the synthesized copolymers and the the leaves of Bambusaglaucescenscv.Alphonse-Karr have good synergistic effect.
