In recent years, the titanium alloys are widely used in aerospace, petroleum,chemical, medical and other military and civil field because of its high strength,good corrosion resistance, high heat resistance characteristics. But with titaniumalloy thermal conductivity is poor cutting, cutting tool wear easily, serious workhardening characteristics make it typical difficult-to-machine materials, leadingto poor surface quality of the machining process were some technical problems,so this article, taking the titanium alloy TC4the material as an example for thestudy of the machinability of titanium alloy.Metal cutting machining engineering has surface residual stress, seriousimpact on finished parts of fatigue strength and corrosion resistance, therebyaffecting the service life of parts; At the same time, the existence of the residualstress can also affect the stability of component size, therefore the residual stressthrough the analysis of machinability of the research has important practicalsignificance.This paper mainly studies the following four aspects:Analysis of the mechanism of residual stress formation, finished surfaceanalysis model is established, and set up the third deformation zonethermodynamic coupling equation, the simulation provides a theoreticalguidance for cutting process;Using the finite element software DEFORM, the finite element theorybased on, taking Johnson-Cook as the workpiece material flow stress model,based on the Coulomb friction law for the contact friction model, using the Usuiwear model, using the updated Lagrange method establishment of titanium alloyTC4finite element cutting model as the chip separation criteria;Through the finite element software to simulate the cutting processsimulation, got the finished surface residual stress distribution, and change thecutting speed, turning back, feed, cutting edge radius of the four influenceregularity of cutting parameters on the residual stress;(4) Simulation results in this paper to professor Zhang Yiliang "turning processing residual stress distribution rule of the experimental research on" theresults were compared. In the distribution law of influence of cutting speed,depth of cut, feed rate and cutting edge radius on residual stress,found that theexperimental simulation results and comparison results are basic agreement.
