Three roller bending machine is an indispensable part of heavy machineryindustry, widely used in petroleum、chemical industry、pressure vessel,etcetera.With the increasing of plate specifications, market put forward the newrequest to the bending capacity of plate bending machine, especially the250mm~300mm plate,in our country, regardless of structure of the machine orprocess is a new research content.This project was supported by major projects in Shanxi Province, whichmainly carries on the analysis of process to the symmetrical three-roll veneerreeling machine. According to the stress analysis of micro element,therelationship between bending moment and shear force of steel plate wasdeduced. The relationship between process parameters of punching and rollbending are established separately by using the static balance. The resultsobtained by numerical calculation, and relation schema of the processparameters and the relative curvature was drawn. The springback mathematicalexpression considering the elastic deformation associated with the plasticdeformation was established. The LS-DYNA module of the ANSYS was usedfor the quasi-static simulation plate bending. The simulation results were bothanalyzed and compared with theoretical calculation results.The calculation results show that: the relative hardening coefficient hasgreat effects on the process parameters of punching, especially the biggestinfluence on the forming load. The relative hardening coefficient is larger, theinfluence on the displacement of the upper roll is smaller. Effect of relativehardening coefficient for roll bending process under the upper roll diaplacementis very small.,but is very large on the deforming load.The distance of lower rollhas a significant influence on the process parameters of punching androllbending process, when the final forming radius determined, the relationshipbetween upper roll displacement and lower roller center distance is linear.Friction coefficient has little influence on the process parameters of punchingand bending. The calculation results considering the elastic deformation associated with plastic deformation is more close to the empirical formulacompared to the results neglecting the elastic deformation. The bigger theforming radius, the greater the advantage. When the upper roll displacementdetermined, from the end of roll punching to the beginning of roll bending, thedeforming force decreases to a stable value, while forming radius will increaseobviously, not only because of the effects of springback,but also the change ofstress condition from roll punching to roll bending which also is the mostimportant reason. The simulation results and theoretical results are in goodagreement.
