| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy for the treatment of cough variant asthma by "FengKeFang".Materials and Methods:120outpatients with cough variant asthma whom were selected from the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June2008to October2010were divided into treatment group and control group by using a randomized single-blind method. They were given "FengKeFang" and "ZhiSouSan" respectively to observe the clinical efficacy.Results:Comparison of the total efficacy of the centers:In the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, the total efficacy rate of the treatment group is100%,and the total efficacy rate of the control group is88.46%,so there is a significant difference (p<0.05);in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a total efficacy rate of the treatment group is100%,while the total efficacy rate of the control group is81.25%, so we get a significant difference (p<0.05); in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we get the total efficacy rate of the treatment group which is100%,and the total efficacy rate of the control group which is100%, with a significant difference (p<0.05); and the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has a treatment group efficacy rate of100%and the total efficacy rate of the control group which is100%, so the two groups have significant difference (p<0.05).Comparison of individual symptoms in different centers:symptoms as cough degree, frequency of cough, itchy throat, shortness of breath in the treatment group in the China-Japan Friendship Hospital improved more significantly than the control group (p<0.05); the expectoration aspects between the two groups are similar (p>0.05). After treating, the treatment group in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine showed a significant improvement in cough degree and cough frequency which is better than the control group (p<0.05). Symptoms as itchy throat, shortness of breath, expectoration are similar (p>0.05) between the two groups. After treating, the treatment group in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has a improvement in symptoms of cough degree, cough frequency which are better than the control group (p<0.05), while there is a similarity in itchy throat, shortness of breath, and expectoration (p>0.05) between the two groups; And the treatment group in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine has a significant improvement in the degree of cough which is better than the control group (p<0.05). Symptoms as cough frequency, itchy throat, shortness of breath, expectoration are similar (p>0.05) between the two groups.Comparison of the efficacy of the overall before and after treatment:For the China-Japan Friendship Hospital,the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, comparison of the efficacy rate of the four hospital show that the treatment group has better clinical efficacy rate than the control group after the treatment, X2cmh=44.5511, P <0.0001. |
