This paper resumed chitosan’s source, structure, property and chitosan fiber’s traditional manufacturing process, summarized the study situation of high-strength chitosan fiber, compared the nature of the existing chitosan fiber with commonly used fiber.Selection of chitosan raw material in the preparation of high-performance chitosan fiber was studied, according to raw materials commonly used technical indicators to analyze the raw material:ash content, particle size, deacetylation degree, molecular weight-spinning and ect.. with high-performance chitosan raw material as the target, according to the results of the analysis selected raw materials, and pointed out that there is a certain impact on the season and other factors on the quality of raw materials, and giving purchase recommendations.Starting with the analysis from the solvent, acid type, volume ratio, adding order on chitosan dissolved, experiments proved that the use of acetic acid and the mixed solution of hydrochloric acid dissolving chitosan acetic acid dissolution solution was decreased significantly, they can be used as a solvent to reduce the viscosity of the solution had certain feasibility.In order to guide the fiber spinning process, the microscopic fibers were extended into macro chitosan membrane manner, based on chitosan membrane for fiber simulation and performance analysis, the test selected materials in the case of additive for preparing film. The film preparation conditions were analyzed, simulation of ultrasonic in solidification bath on fiber coagulation effect. It made a foundation for new process research.The traditional spinning processes were improved:in coagulation bath, adding ultrasonic device, without the use of additives, reduce production costs, improve the efficiency of the premise, using the orthogonal experiment to optimize process. Not only solve the traditional wet spinning of chitosan fiber, high production cost, time consuming and laborious, but also improve the chitosan fiber strength. At the same time, the new technology of production of pure chitosan fiber performance was analyzed, the tests show that this experimental preparation of chitosan fiber with non-circular section, fiber hygroscopicity strong, fiber antibacterial rises somewhat. It can be used on pure chitosan fiber production and the application as guidance.
