OBJECTIVE:To knee osteoarthrit is (KOA), has high incidence, which is the most common one type of bone osteoarthritis (OA). statistics shows that there are28.7%people who are over40have X-ray.Among them,23.5%are male and32.8%are female; Old people often get KOA. people over the age of60to35%to50%in there are clinical manifestations for the people over60;80%, people who over75are attacked by osteoarthritis. This paper aims to compare huo xue san with jin kui shen qi fang, and explore clinical effect of Fu Tie Therapy in KOA.Methods:the study used a randomized, parallel control method. We collected115standard knees osteoarthritis from Guanganmen hospital of Chinese traditional medicine academy of sciences. Then we divided them into two groups (the group of huo xue san:60cases the group of j in kui shen qi fang:55cases). they were sticked on neixiyan(EX-LE4)、waixiyan(dubi)(ST35)、ganshu(BL18)、pishu(BL20)、 shenshu (BL23) with huo xue san and j in kui shen qi fang respectively twice in every10days. During the course of treatment., we wrote down the mark of WOMAC score two groups, the score of TCM symptoms, clinical curative effect and adverse reaction conditions,. At last, using SPSS18.0s statistical software to analyze the difference clinical effect of two medicine.Results:overall115samples were included in the trial, which consisted of60samples for Blood-activating powder,55samples for j in kui shen qi. of all the samples,31were men while119wowen, whose gender ratio6:17. Average height, weight and age were resperatively163.73cm,65.68kg and59.7-year-old. Average WOMAC scoring before the treatment was38.21. In huo xue san group,3patients reported total cured,25patients reported positive for the treatment, only4cases reported no reflect for the treatment. The affective rate was93.33%with5%cured. For j in kui shen qi group1reported cured,27reported positive for the treatment while3reported no response for the treatment which could be calculated as94.5%effective for the treatment,1.82%cured and5.454failure. WOMAC scoring of huo xue san and jin kui shen qi presented no significant difference with the P value at0.329>0.05, so was the traditional Chinese medical symptoms scoring after the treatment. The P value presented significant difference before and after the treatment which was P=0.000<0.05which indicated the effectiveness of two kinds of treatments. For the knee osteoarthritis cased by deficiency of liver and kidney and block in vessels the efficacy of jin kui shen qi group reported significantly better for the group of huo xue san group whose P value was P=0.003<0.05. for the cases aused by deficiency of kidney and spleen and dampness trapped bone joint, huo xue san reported better efficacy than that of jin kui shen qi group whose P value was P=0.002<0.05. For the cases caused by efficiency of liver and kidney with static phlegm, no statistical difference were presented by calculation χ2=2.787, P=0.248>0.05.Conclusions:(1) There is a good therapeutic effect on KOA for Fu Tie Therapy, which is safe, convenient, and easy to generalize.(2) There is no obvious different treatment effect between huo xue san and jin kui shen qi fang;(3) the effect of huo xue san is better than the effect of jin kui shen qi fang for the syndrome of spleen-kidney deficiency and damp joint;(4) the effect of jin kui shen qi fang is better than the effect of huo xue san for the syndrome of liver-kidney deficiency and stagnation of sinew and channel;(5) It is no difference effect for the syndrome of liver-kidney deficiency and combined phlegm and stasis between huo xue san and jin kui shen qi fang.
