Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment Of Infantile Cough Variant Asthma Efficacy And Safety Of Meta Analysis

Research purposes：Pediatric cough variant asthma incidence increased yearby year in the trend. This paper system evaluation to traditional Chinesemedicine for pediatric cough variant asthma of domestic clinical research.The research methods：By retrieving the2001～2011published in the majorjournals about TCM treating children cough variant asthma randomized controlledclinical research literature, using Meta analysis method, statistical data, onTCM treating children cough variant asthma and medication safety systemevaluation.Results：Through to the major domestic periodical literature search, searchout the relevant literature about302. Only43of them meet the inclusion criteriaof research, application of the modified Jadad quality assessment into the studyof literature quality is general on the low side. The Meta analysis results showedthat the two groups in the total clinical efficiency, safety and recurrence ofthe differences were statistically significant, improvement in pulmonaryfunction of children with no significant differences.Conclusion：Based on the published on Chinese medicine in the treatment ofcough variant asthma in children ’s literature for Meta analysis, confirmed thatthe traditional Chinese medicine treatment of children cough variant asthmaeffectiveness and safety. But because of the lack of literature into high qualityresearch, so the existing evaluation results are not conclusive, the evaluationof the results should be treated with caution. Still need to follow the "multi-center, large sample, prospective, randomized controlled, double blind"controlled trial, improving test quality, for clinical studies to provideguidance and sufficient evidence.
