Purpose To evaluate the clinic efficacy of TIP sleep regulating technique in the treatment of primary insomnia on difficulty falling asleep.Discuss the difference of treatment effect between TIP sleep regulating technique and zopiclone on difficulty falling asleep.Method According to the Natural Science Foundation project "the Mechanism Study of Insomnia Treated by Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine Relaxation Induction Therapy", the primary insomnia patients who suffer on difficulty falling asleep, in psychology department at Guang’ An Men Hospital。 from July,2012to Jan,2013.The36volunteers are randomly assigned at1:1proportion to TIP group(n+18) and Zopiclone group(n=18).TIP group first listen to Wang’s hypnotic music15minutes,then carry on TIP sleep regulating technique30minutes.The therapy lasts for4weeks,twice per week.Zopiclone group,patients are asked to take zopiclone a tablet per night30minutes before bedtime.According to the patients’ condition,you can add and subtract.It lasts for4weeks.Before and after treatmentjnsomnia patients who meet the criteria of the project,are monitored by polysomnopraphy(PSG)、Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) and the SPEIGEL, Discuss the difference of treatment effect between TIP sleep regulating technique and zopiclone on difficulty falling asleep.All the data was inputed by Excel and analyzed by statistical software SPSS17.0.Result1.Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)Comparison among groups:TIP group is better than zopiclone group after comparing the PSQI factors and PSQI total score,and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05) in the sleep quality、sleep latency、sleep time、 sleep medicationn daytime function and the total score;the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05) in sleep efficiency and sleep disturbance.Explaining TIP group can improve sleep quality,reduce sleep latency,increase sleep time,reduce the dependence on sleep medication,strengthen daytime function,but can’t enhance sleep efficiency and sleep disturbance.Comparison of reductive ratio:Explaining TIP sleep regulating technique is significantly different,but zopiclone group is not significantly different.Comparison among groups,TIP group is superior to zopiclone group (P<0.05).Assess clinical efficacy:based on the efficacy criterion of insomnia,combining PSQI integral reductive ratio,analyze the clinical efficacy of two groups.The effective rate is significantly different(X2=6.20, P=0.013),explaining TIP group is superior than zopiclone group. Comparisons within group:After comparing the PSQI factors and PSQI total score,TIP group is significantly different(P<0.05) in the sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep medication, daytime function and the total score.Explaining TIP group can improve sleep quality,reduce sleep latency,increase sleep time,improve sleep efficiency, reduce the dependence on sleep medication,strengthen daytime function.After comparing the PSQI factors and PSQI total score,zopiclone group is significantly different(P<0.05) in the sleep quality and sleep latency,but not statistically significant(P>0.05) in sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disturbance, sleep medication, daytime function and the total score.Explaining zopiclone group can improve sleep quality,reduce sleep latency.2.Polysomnogram(PSG) Comparison among groups:There is no significant difference in PSG indicators between two groups after treatment (P>0.05).Comparisons within group:TIP group is significantly different in SE, S2, S2%and SWS.Explaining TIP sleep regulating technique can improve sleep efficiency,reduce S2,increase SWS.Zopiclone group is no significant difference in PSG indicators.Conclutionsl.The project explains TIP sleep regulating technique and zopiclone have clinical efficacy to varying degree,and TIP is superior to zopiclone.2.TIP group can improve sleep quality,reduce sleep latency,increase sleep time,reduce the dependence on sleep medication,strengthen daytime function,but can’t enhance sleep efficiency and sleep disturbance.Zopiclone group can improve sleep quality,reduce sleep latency.3.The project illustrate psychological intervention is more effective than drug intervention.It also proves the efficacy of TIP sleep regulating technique and zopiclone on primary insomnia on difficulty falling asleep.Because of the limitations of the study,the conclusion needs further studies to prove.
