Objective:To explore the curative effect of Naofuzhuyu decoction combined with Western medicine (WM) on the Pattern of Blood stasis Blocking the brain of the acute severe Craniocerebral-injury, and the brain-protective effect of Naofuzhuyu decoction at the acute stage of the Craniocerebral-injury.Methods:62 patients in hospital ill with acute severe the brain injury (GCS) 5-8 scores, the coma time>12 hours, the trauma time≤3 weeks) were randomly divided into the control group (n=30) and the treatment group (n=32).Based on conventional WM therapy, the treatment group was treated with Naofuzhuyu decoction, while control group was treated with WM only. The clinical symptom and signs, consciousness,GCS coma sco in the Pattern of Blood stasis Blocking the brain(Glasgow coma scale re,metabolism disorders, hemorrheology and CT scanning of the two groups were compared. Results:Compare the treatment group with the control group, after 10-day’s treatment the effective rate of TCM and WM and consciousness recovery rate were evidently increased(p<0.05),the fluctuation of vital signs was smoother (p<0.05), CT scanning and lumber puncture show that the severity of brain edema was decreased significantly (p<0.01),the metabolism disorders、hemorrheology and the improvement of GCS coma score get better. Conclusion:There were remarkable curative effects on severe Craniocerebral-injury treated with TCM-WM therapy. Naofuzhuyu decoction could inhibit vicious circle in the Pathophysiology changes of Severe the brain injury to a certain extent. It could shorten the coma time, reduce the disability rate, improve the quality of life of the patients.
