Time expression is one of the most important content in contemporary Chinese grammar and Teaching Chinese as foreign Languages. Chinese language and Thai language grammar are different, especially words order of both languages that may affect Thai student time expression in Chinese language abilities improvementPresent, field of linguistic studies in Thailand have very few of the research study about the problems of Chinese time words using in teaching Chinese language. In china, there are a lot of research studies on Chinese time words, but it’s the comparative study with other languages, most of the studies are compare between Chinese and English, however the study that focus on foreigner student time expression and grammar error still very slight. Moreover, the comparative study on Chinese-Thai time expression using are still very few, especially the particular topic on Thai student time expression grammar error analysis. To complement this area study, this study attempt to compare and point out Chinese-Thai time Expression distinguishing feature, analyzes the reasons for the error of the time words used by the Thai student and give the treating strategies for Chinese language teaching.The study is divided into five chapters. Mainly explain the definition of Chinese and Thai time words expression and grammar. Discuss and compare the spot of time and the period of time in Chinese-Thai time words expression and grammar, Finally, discuss and summarize the mistake of the time words used by the Thai student, analyze the reasons for the mistake, then suggest the treating strategies to Teaching Chinese as a foreign Language for Thai student.
