The frescos art is one of the world’s oldest existing forms ofthe art of painting, and frescos art in China has a long history,our ancestors attached to the natural conditions of the caveand rock to create the classic frescos art. It becomes thetreasures in the development of history of human culture andCulture and art. The world’s best preserved, the largest numberof Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang is our country’s treasure-house,which existing 492 caves, covers area of 4500 square meters.Besides, our classic work also includes the KizilGrottoes,Maijishan Grottoes and Yongle Palace murals and FahaiTemple murals, etc. On account of war and political reasons inancient times, many of China’s ancient palace frescos could notbe well preserved, even there is no successor in drawingtechniques in these frescos, it was a fault in the history ofthe Chinese development of frescos art. Until late 1970s, alongwith the reform and opening up the national economicdevelopment opportunities, frescos art emerged in the domesticpublic buildings. The completion of the Beijing InternationalAirport frescos group mushroomed marks the modern frescos andart revival since then begin.The 11th National Art Exhibition, Frescos exhibition on display in Beijing in September 2009, it concentrated shows status ofdevelopment of Chinese contemporary frescos art in the pastfive years, We must admit, this Frescos Exhibition isunprecedented compared to the previous sessions of the ArtExhibition in exhibition form or subject matter content. Theexhibition is presented in an abundance of the subject mattercontent, multiple of art form, diverse materials. They all wellproved the contemporary Chinese art mural is developed in aplural and diverse, humanism trend. My paper is just from thesecharacteristics as the breakthrough point of the article. Thispaper theoretically gives a comprehensive overview to the 11thNational Art Exhibition frescos by making a comprehensiveanalysis and data argument in the form of investigation andstudy.This paper is composed of five chapters:Foreword, it described four prominent features of the 11thNational Art Exhibition from the macroscopic aspects, and itshowed the different points compare to previous frescosexhibition.The first chapter shows the orientation and spirit of frescospainting in the social context of construction harmonioussociety with the‘human first’concept. It discusses from the background and the artists themselves about the theme of thetimes and creative concept of artists for this frescosexhibition.The second chapter discusses a major theme of the frescoes workof this Art Exhibition from the creation of form, and drawingnature frescos became the main characteristics, as well asshowing changes in the new materials in this Frescos Exhibition;from the spatial shape discusses the changes in the frescospainting carrier, meanwhile the inclusion of environmentalfactors.Chapter III, from the aspects of personalized, popular formsof artistic creation as well as symbolic language to explainthe creation of the contemporary frescos art, it illustratesfreer,more diversified and more‘humanized’characteristics.The last section summarized the frescos development state andexisting problems of 11th National Art Exhibition frescosworks.
