Exotic In Middle And Later Periods Of The Theory Of The Romantic French Opera

In this thesis, with region and time as the division standard, the writer discusses the phenomenon of exoticism in opera. Then from two aspects:the era background and ideological source, discusses the origin of the prevalence of exoticism in the romantic later stages of France. Then List three department typical opera:《Carmen》、《Samson et Dalila》and《Lakme》.At last, take Carmen’s three classic arias for example:《L’amour est un oiseau rebelled》、《Pres des ramparts de Seville》 and 《Les tringles des sistres》, analyzed from the rhythms、dynamics、tempo、melody、language and so on, to prove the exoticism in the arias.
