As reformed China’s economy has grown to dominate the world, its relationshipwith its neighbors such as Tajikistan has taken a new direction. There are increasinglyfrequent exchanges of political, economic, cultural, military, sports, commercial trade, scienceand technology between the two countries. Tajiks understand the importance of learning theChinese language. There is an effort from both the countries to provide opportunities forTajiks to learn Chinese language. Over the years, it is observed that a dictionary is required tolearn a language. A dictionary of Chinese-Tajik and Tajik-Chinese dictionary will become alearning tool. It is noticed that if an interpreter translates incorrectly, it can lead tomisunderstandings and contradictions. A dictionary will be convenient when a word is usedthat is not in people’s vocabulary.At this time, there is no officially published Chinese-Tajik and Tajik-Chinesedictionary. The purpose preparing the Chinese-Tajik and Tajik-Chinese dictionary is toallow the Tajiks to gain the knowledge of Chinese vocabulary when needed.In this paper, a method is presented which will allow the formation of Chinese-Tajik and Tajik-Chinese dictionary. I have interviewed over one hundred Tajiks by askingset of identical questionnaires. The thorough analyses of the answers have led me tounderstand the ideas and the requirements to propose the body and translation method tocreate a Chinese-Tajik and Tajik-Chinese dictionary.
