"Taihe pronunciation spectrum" was written by Zhu Quan in Ming Dynasty (1939A.D.), which has been compiled by The Chinese drama Research Institute as a part ofthe "Chinese classical drama works integrated". This thesis takes "Taihepronunciation spectrum" as the research object,firstly, illustrate both the literatureand drama theory in this book by using "literature","analysis","induction","Comparative Law" methods, and then focuses on the history of the ancient singerand vocal theory through the combination of theory and practice of singing, hope tohelp the understanding of ancient drama theory in "Taihe pronunciation spectrum",and exploring the value of vocal theory and drama historical data discussed in thisbook."Taihe pronunciation spectrum" as a professional book of drama theory, vocalmusic theory and famous songs in the Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty, it is animportant theoretical writings on the Northern drama in the Chinese history. Whichabsorbed the essence of Zhong Si Chen’s “Book of Ghosts”, Yan Nan Zi AN’s "VocalTheory" and Zhou De Qing’s “Central Plains Phonology", joined the summary of thedrama theory, as well as the evaluation of the dramas and singers in Yuan Dynasty byZhu Quan. Zhu Quan put "Drama theory","Singing theory","Scores" and "SongReview into "Taihe pronunciation spectrum" as one. Through many years of vocallearning and practice, author digs the singing method in “Cilin preliminaryinstructions” from breathe, articulation and emotional expression three aspects."Taihepronunciation spectrum" list36amateur singing masters, considering the feudalconcept that ignore geisha in the early Ming, is a very valuable historical information.
