An astrologist who was born in an astrological family always studied under his father or elder brother. Astrologists’knowledge was learnt from their family members as well as someone out of the family. The astrologist born in a common family always studied under unrelated people, who might be a fangshi(方士)a famous astrologist in the South Dynasty, or a guren (故人).One of the research topics focus on astrological textbooks. Children gained the basic knowledge on astrology from primary textbooks. Beginners were likely to learnt the specialized knowledge from《玄åƒè¯—》ã€ã€Šä¸‰å®¶æ˜Ÿç»ã€‹ã€ã€Šå»¿å…«å®¿æ¬¡ä½ç»ã€‹and other professional textbooks. The study is astrologist-centred, focus on their official careers, communications and works. Take Yu Jicai(åº¾å£æ‰)as an example, the thesis studied his life as an astrologist. Astrologists met their political demands by astrology, to integrated astrology culture into iteratis’lives by communicating with them, and left their works to later generations.Astrology had ever had great influence upon political, educational and literature field in the later of North and South Dynasty.
