Different Characteristics Of The Enlightenment In The Process Of The Ancient Poetry Appreciation

On the basis of puzzle insight "catalysis" paradigm, we set up the paradigm of Chinese verse appreciation insight, and used SMI iView X Hi-Speed eye-tracker to research the appreciation processing of different characters of Chinese verse and the mechanism of insight. In experiment, the word number and form of Chinese Poem, the type of response were within-subjects variables. First, there were two poem sentences in screen, and the key word in the second sentence was carved. Subjects need to fill the suitable word, when given the answer, they should try their best to judge whether had the "Aha" experience or not, and make the response. Eye tracker simultaneously recorded subject’s eye movement. The researcher used BeGaze to synthesize data. Using MANOVA, we analyzed the data of eye movement in the early and late processing.The results showed that:(1)From the count of Insight and un-insight, response time, we find that insight is higher than un-insight.(2)In total fixation duration and fixation times, there are significant differences between five-word poem and seven-word poem. In seven-word poem, insight response is higher than un-insight response in fixation duration and fixation times. In saccade amplitude average, insight is higher than un-insight, which only shows in the antithesis form.(3)Combined with the interest areas, eye movement indices demonstrated:Subjects focus on the space area at least, front and back of the space at the most. In the space corresponding area, subjects pay more attention in the antithesis than non-antithesis, although this trend is not obvious. In regression times, five-word poems are higher than seven-word poems. In fixation duration、fixation times, there are no significant differences between insight and un-insight response in six interest areas.(4)From the result of the answer area, there is no significant difference between insight and un-insight response in first fixation time. But in fixation duration and fixation times, the antithesis is higher than non-antithesis; the insight response is higher than the un-insight.Based on the above results, we can draw the following conclusions:By the eye movement, we find that the "insight" in the appreciation process of Chinese poems is similar to "insight" in problem-solving before. In the appreciation process of different characters of Chinese verse, the whole artistic conception is more important for appreciators than the external form, and arouses the strong subjective experience which influences appreciators to make what kind of response.
