Shallow Of Era Characteristics Of Color In The Traditional Chinese Paintings

The painting of birds and flowers is close to people’s life. This point makes me think about connection between creation on painting of birds and flowers and social life. So I choose painting character during different periods as this paper’s thesis, which will be helpful to understand painting’s quality and symbolism more clearly, and will be meaningful for improving our theory study and creative practice.The research method used in this paper is just bibliography research method. Through literature review and analysis I conclude the main ideas about the periodical characters about painting of birds and flowers and its factors effecting on it.The research result shows that the basic color characters of Chinese traditional painting of birds and flowers lie in philosophy thought, token meaning and difference with western paintings’. Social stability, governor group’s attitude to the painting, the development of culture and tradition, change of philosophy ideal, and the development of painting theory are the main factors effecting on Chinese traditional painting’s characters change. In the painters’eyes, color is not only to show itself of flowers but also to extend their subjective emotional world and society.
