At the May Fourth period, the spread of the western romanticism literature in Chinabegan to speed up gradually, becoming a splendid trend of translation that Creation societyled. And this influenced the temporal Chinese literature and the subsequent Chineseliterature vastly. I intend to dissertate the translation, the spread and the change of thewestern romanticism literature in China and the temporal context control in three aspects.In the first chapter, it sorts the source of the romanticism literature in China at the MayFourth period. That is, External played a principal part and Internal supplemented.So the point is the spread of the western romanticism ideological trend and the translationof the western romanticism literature.In the second chapter, it investigates the translation and the change of the westernromanticism ideological trend in China at the May Fourth period, discusses the mediumand the ways of the western romanticism literature translation and the intentionalmisreading in the translation, clears the specific change of the western romanticismliterature in the May Fourth period literature context.In the third chapter, it explores the spread of the western romanticism literature in theMay Fourth modernity context framework, and explains the intentional misreading in thetranslation from the point of view of modernity. Comparing the relationship of the westernromanticism and the modernity and the relationship of the May Fourth period romanticismand the modernity, it seeks the variation from the western romanticism to the May Fourthromanticism, and discusses deep historical reasons.According to the organization, it can know the romanticism literature in the MayFourth period clearly from the point of the historical context, and explain the intentionalmisreading and the intentional mistranslating of the western romanticism literaturetranslation.
