Two-dimensional Study Of Liang Qichao's Literature

The literary concept of Liang Qichao had not only thescientific spirit of western countries, but also thetraditional Confucian ideas of yanzhizaidao, which married theWestern Civilization to create and integrate a literary conceptcombined with the Literature National Salvation Theory and theEmotional Ideology. The Literature National Salvation Theoryperformed an unglamorous function in enlightening people’sintelligence, while the Emotional Ideology tended to explorethe emotionally artistic value from the theoretical point ofview. As a statesman and poet, Liang always embraced the senseof responsibility and enlightenment patriotism to the world ashis own patriotic mission. The concept of his literature waseven against the views of his own that were in the past. Itresulted in a literature view with2D characteristics, whichopened dimensions of Multi-dimensional Interpretation and showed the integration characteristics of "Knowledge andTactics" that became the leader of the development of literarytheory in the twentieth century. However, hisMulti-dimensional Theory obscured the conflict between academeand politics, even presenting a colonization consciousnessfrom politics to literature in the background of Enlightenment.Consequently, the Multi-dimensional Theory of literaturecouldn’t discover the password for the dialogue betweenliterature and politics, which resulted in an awkward situationin Liang’s life. From the angles of literary criticism, theessay discussed the Multi-dimensional Theory, thecontradictory characterization as well as the awkwardsituation---the characteristic in or beyond literature inLiang’s literary views. It analyzed the meaning and symptomof the Multi-dimensional Theory and tried turning the subjectand object relationship between literature and politics intoan interactive relationship between subjects by the Inter-subjective Theory of Habermas. It realized an equaldialogue between academe and politics on the basis of theirindependence as well as made an effort on broadening thehorizons and space in developing Liang Qichao’s literature andoffering an ideal communicative environment for newlypolitical and academia scholars so that those realintellectuals could be better able to write articles aboutpeople’s livelihood.
