The Social Assistance In China Cities In Social Work Perspective

Social assistance is one of the important security systems of a country’s "stability" and "safety net", which provides the most basic level of protection. China has almost65million people with disabilities who need the assistance. As the persons with disabilities are vulnerable social groups, social assistance for persons with disabilities is the most direct and effective way to solve the problems of the disabled in China. The establishment and improvement of the social assistance system, not only directly benefit the majority of people with disabilities, but also exert profound influence for the economic, political and cultural development of the whole society. Most of all, it will produce significant implications for the maintenance of social stability and unity to protect the disabled equal participation in social life and share social material and cultural achievements.This artical, based on the research of disabled person in Guangzhou urban city, mainly through questionare, analyze the current social assistance status in Guangzhou, researched the basic situation, living status, the effects of disability, social support and protection network, goverment support of the diabled people in this city. Conclude:the poor phenomenon is still serious; The disabled person hope to merge into the socity etc. Finally, based on the current situation, suggest how to improve the social assistance policy.The first chapter is the introduction which introduces this subject, background, significance, and relevant literature. The second chapter is related to theoretical concepts. Mainly down to the related concepts of social work, the definition of persons with disabilities and the status of the Guangzhou reugion of Social Work for persons with disabilities. The third part analyzes the current situation of China’s social assistance for persons with disabilities, including the devlopment history of social assistance for persons with disabilities, the current system in our country, and the current status and problem for disabled Social Work. Chapter IV is the focus of this article chapter. Through a survey by questionare, analyze the status of the Guangzhou urban social assistance for persons with disabilities. At first, present the survey methodology, then analyze questionnaire and, through analysis, came to the conclusion of the findings. Chapter V proposed, by Chapter IV of the investigation, how to improve the social assistance for persons with disabilities of the Guangzhou City. This part suggested the establishment of the basic principles of the social assistance system of people with disabilities, and then propose countermeasures.
