Correctly handling internal contradictions among people is the theme of party’s and the country’s political life. In the Fifth Plenary Session of the17th Central Committee of Chinese Communist,"correctly handling contradictions among the people" has been written into the meeting communique, and " to try our best to arouse social creativity, to increase harmonious factors, to reduce disharmonious factors and to properly coordinate various benefit relations" has also been stressed. This means that the party and the government have put "correctly handling the contradictions among the people" to a position of safeguarding the stability of the society and constructing socialism harmony. Correctly handling internal contradictions among people, helps to improve people’s enthusiasm and creativity, to mobilize all available forces and also to ensure economic benign operation; it helps to resolve various factors of insecurity and to maintain social harmony and stability; it also helps to realize the historical task of the party, to improve the ruling ability of the party and to guarantee the development of our reform and opening-up as well as modernization.To correctly handle contradictions among the people, we should use the method of comparison, retrace the historical perspective and make use of multiple disciplines of knowledge. With the knowledge of social structure and social conflicts to analyze causes of people’s internal contradiction, combined with the class theory to analyze the types of internal contradictions among the people, we should canvass Chinese political party building and social management. Theoretically, objectively ordering the development of theory exploration is the inheritance and development of the Marx doctrine and Mao Zedong thought. In practical questions, providing solution methods for the party and the government to handle the contradictions among the people is very important. By means of that, we can deal with the contradictions among people better to achieve the goal of social management.
