At present,a harmonious labor relation has been promoted which aimsto protect the basic rights of employees due to the fact of labor disputeand Karoshi brought by overtime working.It can seen from the previous labor legislation regarding overtimeworking regulation that there are already enough regulations related tothis problem in terms of overtime amount,overtime procedure,overtimepay and illegal overtime working. However,problems do exist with thecomplain of overtime working which is a big threat to the implementationof the regulation.Therefore,this thesis believes that the reason lies in the heave burdenof employees,the inadequate competition and the lack of collectivebargaining with the deep roots of imperfect social security system.Besides studying on the reasons for overtime working,the thesis is tryingto explore deeper reasons concerning the reflection of overtime workingregulation.Based on what is stated above,three suggestions are proposed: first,improve related regulations including adjusting legal working hours andthe perfection of social security system; second,reform current laborunion system; third,raise the awareness of employers and respect employees.Overtime working is not only a systematic problem that needs to besolved systematically but more importantly a social problem which shouldbe paid attention by the whole society.
