College Students Volunteer Spirit Cultivation Research

Presently, the scholars are studying about the connotation of voluntary services,the voluntary spirits and about the aspect of how to develop volunteer service, develop thevolunteer spirits. To organize the researches for cultivating college students’ voluntary spirit basedon all the college students is advantageous to guide the college students to form the correct ideasand judgment on values, to develop and perfect their personalities and help them set up theirsubject consciousness and consciousness of social responsibilities. And it is also advantageous toreform and innovate the ideological and political education content and approaches of the collegesand universities, thus making the educational work in colleges and universities and therequirements from the social development and times connect with each other closely. Besides, it isalso advantageous to popularize the volunteer ideas and develop voluntary spirit in the wholesociety and to form a good atmosphere that people all concern, support and participate in thevoluntary service. In addition, it is also advantageous to help the colleges and universities tofurther enrich and improve the system of the ideological and political theory courses and providenew content for the contemporary ideological and political education to the college students.Moreover, it is also advantageous to build up a strong spirit connotation for voluntary service,making the scientific sustainable development of the voluntary service develop with right thoughtguidelines. Lastly, it is also advantageous to make the theoretical content of the harmonioussociety concrete and realistic, thus providing ideological and theoretical supports with modernfeatures for the construction of a harmonious society.This dissertation is based on the humanistic social scientific research program by collegesand universities of Jiangxi province—“The Study of Fostering and Developing the CollegeStudents’ Voluntary Spirits”; It takes the spirits from the “Opinions on Further Develop theVoluntary Services” issued by the Central Spiritual Civilization Steering Committee and the“Opinions on Further Develop the Students’ Voluntary Services Activities” issued by theMinistry of Education as its guidance. And the documents researching method, investigatingmethod, comparative analyzing method, analyzing systematically method and so on are used inthis dissertation to explore and the construct the theoretical and practical system of the collegestudents’ voluntary spirits based on the origin of the voluntary spirits and voluntary values, thepresent situation of college students’ voluntary spirits and the principles and the countermeasuresof the fostering of the college students’ volunteer spirits.
