This paper was about52teachers who worked at aerobics in14colleges ofChongqing city. Literature、expert interviews、questionnaire survey、mathematicalstatistics and other research tools were used in this paper. It was analysed with theaspects of teaching、learning、 research and so on. It was to reflect aerobics electivecourse teaching situation and the existing problems of the Chongqing city colleges. Andalso the effects of aerobics teacher development factors were analyzed. The suggestionsfor the development of Chongqing city aerobics teachers were put forward, which wassuitable for them.It was shown from the research result:Firstly, the proportion of male and female teachers was imbalanced in Chongqingcity college. There had less academic leaders. Heavy teaching work was caused by theshortage of aerobics elective course teacher in Chongqing City College; The structure ofaerobics teacher’s profession was irrational. The characteristics of academic structurewas named “close relative”.Secondly, Chongqing University aerobics teachers had less professional theory andtechnical skills. Professional structure was needed to be improved and adjusted. Newexercise standards were choosed as the main content of the teaching for most aerobicsteachers. The frontier of knowledge was to be strengthened for them to study in the fieldof aerobics. The ratings of calisthenics’ technical and the referee were not high.Thirdly, Bachelor degree has the higher ration than graduate degree in ChongqingCity College aerobic, which was analyzed by the role of degree. But graduate degreeration was increasing. From the role of aerobic teachers’ titles, lecturer, teachingassistant have the higher ration, while associate professor was a small ration,whowere at the age of50.Fourthly, multimedia proficiency was needed to be strengthened for Chongqingcity college aerobics elective teacher. The ability of foreign language was not good forthem. Teachers to do research most immediately for the profits and the forced form ofrequirements, rather than the development of teaching aerobics. Chongqing city collegeaerobics teacher’s paper was on a high level from the role of the paper’s quantity. Butthe quality of the paper was to be further improved.Fifthly, There had82.41%percent aerobics teachers never been the leader of a team in Chongqing City College. There had a phenomenon that lots of Aerobicsteachers were to been engaged in second career; There had about85.47%percentaerobics teachers want to accept continuing education, but due to some objectivereasons,they had no opportunities. Because of lots of students having the aerobic class,field and equipments couldn’t be guaranteed the need of teaching during the teachingprocess. Teaching conditions were needed to be further improved;Sixly,aerobics was one of the most favorite sports for University students,especially for female students. The most important motive for the college students toparticipate in aerobics exercise was the physical fitness, which reflected the collegestudents had good motivational tendencies. There had a survey about the collegestudents to participate in aerobics exercise, which showed that college aerobics had themost important impact on the teachers, classmates and friends.
