Study On The Developing Status And Countermeasures Of Extra-curricular Velleyball Of College Students In North Henan

Volleyball sports, since the date of birth, is an important member of the sports big family. It has alwaysbeen deeply loved by the people, plus the characteristic of easy entertainment. In nineteen eighties, with theChinese women’s volleyball team getting the outstanding achievements of “five consecutive years” in theinternational competition, all cross the nation lifted a new climax of studying the spirit of Chinese womenvolleyball teams and carrying out volleyball movement, especially the development of volleyball incolleges and universities. However, in twenty-first century, with the rapid development of higher educationand the deep reform of college physical education in China, especially with the widespread popularity ofspecial courses, optional courses, club courses and various associations, the sports project which studentscan freely choose increase, and some emerging sports projects are in line with the college students’psychology of pursuing fresh things. At the same time, plus the characteristic of volleyball sports project,all these factors result in the development of volleyball in colleges and universities gradually cooling downand falling into a trough. The development of volleyball in universities is facing the unknown-ofpredicament and crisis. How the volleyball sports getting a better development and growing up in collegesand universities becomes a problem that be solved urgently.This paper mainly adopts literature material method, survey, mathematical statistics and othersresearch methods. It conducts an investigation and analysis on the current situation of five colleges’students in North Henan participating in extracurricular volleyball sports. The results show that: thevolleyball developmental situation of universities in North Henan is not satisfactory. The factors whichinfluence the extracurricular volleyball activities of college students in North Henan mainly include: thecharacteristics of volleyball; every action of the volleyball needs the whole body coordination andcoherence; it is lack of facilities and equipment. The number of existing facilities and equipmentinvestigated in five universities in North Henan still has a big gap to the specialized number of Nation; thestudent’s own factors. Due to their laziness, the students who like sports focus on some of the more popularor emerging sports project. The students are not good at arranging their own sports time; the degree ofemphasis of colleges is not enough. These are the main reasons affecting the better development of extracurricular volleyball sports of university students in North Henan.In view of the existing situation and problems, this paper makes a detailed analysis and puts forwardsome reasonable suggestions. The colleges should increase investment on the facilities and equipment ofvolleyball sports and provide the students a good volleyball sports environment. On the aspects of teaching,the teachers should pay attention to the technology which students like, strengthen the combination ofcurricular and extra-curricular exercises, and then enable the students in extra-curricular time to consolidateand deepen what they have learned in class. The students should organize and participate in moreintramural and extramural volleyball matches, which makes the campus is full of sports atmosphere. It aimsto fully tap the rich sports resources of colleges in North Henan and encourage more students to participatein the extracurricular volleyball campaign. At the same time, this paper provides a few references to thevolleyball teaching reform of colleges in North Henan, ultimately promotes the sustainable development ofvolleyball activities of college students in North Henan and lays a solid foundation for the students’ lifelongconsciousness.
