During a long time of learning and revolution and socializing building, MaoZedong formed his educational thoughts, which has four theoretic sources. The first isthe humanism thoughts in China traditional educational ideal. For example, Thethoughts of the Taoism School contain humanistic educational thoughts as the heTaoist School and the Confucian School, especially the Confucian School Put forwardthe thought of Education without Distinction, teaching students in accordance withtheir aptitude and unifying your knowledge and your life,These have a potent effecton Mao Zedong. The second is the Humanism of modern China educational thoughts.Liang Qichao’s thoughts has a potent effect on Mao Zedong just as Ynfu, YanYangchu, Liang Suming and the Hu-xiang School. The third is Mao Zedong wasaffected by western educational thoughts, for example the theory of Henri Rousseau,Edmund Spenser, Henry Norris Russell and Melvil Dewey. The fourth is the effect ofMarxist educational thoughts. Mao Zedong’s educational thoughts contain six aspects.One, sticking to equal educational ideal and emphasizing on the cultural popularizingand the equality between of teacher and student. Two, emphasizing on studentspersonality development and objecting to effect their personality. Three, stressing onthe unity of learning and life in education, especially combining teaching and labor.Four, stressing on the education should promote the people’s development, making thestudents have a balanced development on the aspects of moral, wisdom, sports, thefine arts and labor. Five, adopting teaching methods of humanity in teaching,just asthe methods of discussion method, talking method and heuristic didactics. Six,reducing the students’burden in learning by cut back on courses and teachingcontains. Nowadays, Mao Zedong’s educational thoughts still have practical orimmediate significance. Currently, we should propel educational equality by carryingon reform of system, and at the same time, we should creative educational ideal andtaking humans as essentials, reform teaching contains and optimizing the method ofinstruction.
