London Olympics of2012will come soon. Though our national table tennis team achieved4gold medals during No.28Beijing Olympics, we can’t forget that Wang Hao lost the most important men’s single title at Athens Olympics. From Table Tennis came into the big Olympic Family in1988. The foreign male table tennis players have gotten the same amount gold medals as us. We take advantage over other countries, but the level between us is much closer. Whether our elder players maintain their condition and the young players take the tough task, the result of2012London Olympics will be the answer. We research the tactics and technology of our main opponents through the literature study, mathematical statistics, segmentation assessment and the match videos. Compare their thoughts of tactic, usage of technology, and draw the following conclusion, and try to find some useful things for our preparing for London Olympics.1The three stage index of technology of Boll was the most balanced. Boll’s tactics of attack after service are backhand attack after side spin service to his opponents’backhand site and forehand attack after inverse spin to his opponents’middle-right site; During receive stage, Boll is used to drop shot and chop long to his opponents’backhand site. But when played with Zhang Jike, Boll used more backhand attack receives; During rally, Boll’s forehand had much more spin and power, Boll’s backhand had more spin and less power and he liked forehand sideways.2Mizutani Jun was good at first three strokes, but less stable. Mizutani Jun.’s tactics of attack after service was forehand attack after service to his opponents’middle or forehand site, but he used more long services to Wang Hao; During receive stage, Mizutani Jun liked to drop shot to his opponents’middle and middle-forehand site; During rally, Mizutani Jun was used to stand so far from the table that he was passive during rally. 3Samsonov Vladimir was a versatile player. He was doing well in both forehand and backhand. Samsonov Vladimir’s tactics of attack after service was attack to his opponents’backhand site after short service to his opponents’middle and middle-forehand site; During receive stage, Samsonov Vladimir was good at short, long chop and attack. During rally, Samsonov Vladimir was closer to the table, he could use his backhand attack continuously and his forehand had a wide span, but he was slow when he changed his backhand to his forehand.4These three players were good at receive stage, especially Samsonov Vladimir. They all used more receive technologies. That was to show our national players didn’t have advantage any longer when11points and without blocking service were conducted.5Comparing to our excellent players, these three players didn’t have advantage during rally any longer and we had less advantage during first three strokes. We need continuous creation during service and receive stage, thus we can be the trendsetters always.
