The evaluation of Micro-teaching skills is self-contained one, which has a set of widely used evaluation modes in China, but there is a lack of formative evaluation of preservice teachers and also a lack of instructor’s feedback. But in teaching reflection and classroom research areas, domestic and foreign researchers have already began to apply video analysis tools to assist research. Therefore, this study attempts to combine of video analysis tools and micro-teaching skills evaluation as a research entry point, to use video analysis tools to assist the visual analysis and reflection of micro-teaching skills. The aim of the study is cultivate preliminary observation and reflection skills of the preservice teachers, and try to builda new form of Microteaching skills evaluation. The study mainly includes four phases, namely literature review, the study of video analysis tools, solution design and practice. Firstly, literature review include three parts:the evaluation of micro-teaching skills, teaching reflection and classroom observation. Secondly, a reseach of existing video analysis tools is conducted, a set of16video analysis tools are introduced and compared, after which, ANVIL is selected as the video analysis tool used in this study. Thirdly, aimed at solving the problem existing in the evaluation of microteaching skills which mentioned above, the study combined ANVIL’s function to re-design skills evaluation framework and designed a scheme of "ANVIL used in microteaching skills evaluation". Finally, the designed scheme of "ANVIL used in microteaching skills evaluation" is conducted, and the basic feasibility and effectiveness of the designed scheme is verified.
