The research of gender role developed in the1970s has been concerned by many researchers and it has become one of the important topics of the study on the process of acquiring the gender role.The writer consider that the female would encounter the same issue in this process and it has the unique feature.At present,the study of the gender role conflict of the female is rather few.And the study on this issue has a very important theoretical and practical significance.On the basis of Chinese culture background and the studies of Gender Role Conflict, using literature analysis, interview method, open questionnaire and questionnaire survey, we develop the questionnaire of gender role conflict among the female college students and verify its three-component construct.We adopted the independent sample T test and one-way analysis of variance to analyze the difference of demographic variable in the dimensions of The gender role conflict of the female college students. Also, we research the relationship among the gender role type,the gender role conflict of the female college students and the social anxiety.At the same time, we argue the mediated effect that the gender role conflict of the female college students put on the relationship between the mascunlinity traits of the female college students and social anxiety.The results of the research are as follows:1.The gender role conflict of the female college students in our country is a multidimensional variable composed of three dimensions:F1"Restrictive interaction with heterosexual";F2"Restrictive independent behavior";F3"Conflict among study,family and affection".2.The gender role conflict of the female college students in our country are different significantly in some demographic variable.3.The gender role conflict of the female college students in our country are different significantly in the gender role type. The gender role conflict level of the androgyny female college students is the highest and the undifferentiation ones it the lowest.4.The two dimensions that F1"Restrictive interaction with heterosexu-al" and F2"Restrictive independent behavior" can significantly enhance the social anxiety level of the female college students.5.The gender role conflict of the female college students and its two dimensions that The two dimensions that F1"Restrictive interaction with heterosexual" and F2"Restrictive independent behavior" partly mediated the relationship between the mascunlinity traits of the female college students and social anxiety.
