The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of eye-movement betweenbadminton players and normal collage students while gazing the video of badminton match.Atotal of50participations took in this study.24were badminton players, while other26werecommon students. Half of them were male. Their visual acuity are all above1.0(includingrectified). The eye-movements were recorded by i View ⅩH ED eye-tracker made by aGerman company, SMI. Gaze fixation was analyzed frame by frame according to the positionand time. The gaze fixation position was decided by discussions with coaches, includingcompetitor’s shoulder, chest, arm, head and so on. To investigate the differences of gazefixation of participants, multiple factor analysis was conducted using SPSS16.0for Windows.The results show that:1.The reaction times do not have significant difference between the tow group’sparticipants and the skill level have more proper answers than the other group.2.There are significant differences of duration and location of fixation between the twogroup participants. The professional participants pay more attention on the information ofstroke direction. The professional participants care more about the position of competitor’sshoulder chest, arm and head. The professional participants can search more useful visualinformation than non-professional participants which means the skill level has a positivecorrelation with fixation duration.3. Professional group rely more on" hand wrist twist"," body angle"," habit."," tactics" tomake their decision. They make full use of their professional knowledge, mean whilecombined with the resources of the reality situation...
