Orienteering is a physical fitness class endurance, the athletes fitness level central position in the competitive ability of dominant, as the athletes professional technology continues to improve, fitness level has become a key factor to determine the success or failure of the competition.In this paper, order to Nanjing Institute college for example, by investigation of orienteering coaches and athletes, studying the characteristics of Nanjing University Orienteering physical training and the problems, In order to improve the competitive level of the Nanjing University Orienteering, Conclusions are as follows:1.In the time characteristics, Orienteering have intermittent, In the spatial characteristics, Orienteering have complexity.2.Orienteering endurance training is divided into general endurance training and special endurance training, special endurance training is more critical, using variable speed cross-country race and speed game, the training selection in the park and forest.3.Orienteering speed training is divided into general speed training and special speed training, brain thinking activities training are added to carry out the training of general speed and speed endurance training.4.Orienteering strength training is divided into maximum strength training, quick strength training and strength endurance training, the main strength endurance while focusing on the development of rapid strength and maximum strength.5.Flexible training in orienteering athletes run targeted and closely related technologies and capabilities hip flexor, calf and thigh muscles gastronomies, training methods using dynamic stretching, static stretching.6.Agility training should be focused on the technology commonly used in game action for repeated practice, and thus the prevention of sports injuries.Suggestion:Understand the characteristics and importance of the orienteering special physical training. Take full advantage of college students IQ characteristics, combination of physical fitness and skills training. Take full advantage of the university campus resources, increase awareness of innovation. Full take into account the characteristics of college students learning time, reasonable arrangements for the training program. Focus on safety education and self-protection awareness training.
