Objectives1)Investigate on the different age stages of adolescent balance ability through growth and development, catch the changes of balance ability;2) Investigate characteristics and the influence factors of adolescent growth and development stages of balance ability as a theoretical basis for selection of athletes, sports training.Method and objectObjectThere has3huge groups:6~13,15~16and19~20years,all come from Nanjing Baiyun Park Primary School, experimental middle school attached to Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing Normal University. Total391subjects were included in this study and they were divided into6different age groups:6~7,8~9,10~11,12~13,15~16and19-20years. Every group has30people.MethodsTotal traveled way (TTW) of center of pressure (COP) and ellipse area (EA) were examined using Footscan Balance7.7system in double legs stance with their eyes open and eyes closed, and single leg stance with their eyes open and eyes closed.Results1) In most of the index, all age groups showed no gender differences, only a few age group in the partial balance index show sex differences, but different index or the different age groups showed a different gender advantage.2) When compared the TTWs with the subjects aged19~20, subjects in6~7,8~9and10~11years age-groups had significant higher TTWs in double legs stance with their eyes open and eyes closed (P<0.01), and subjects in12~13and15~16years age-groups had no significant differences. Subjects in6~7,8~9years age-groups also showed greater TTWs in single leg stance with their eyes open when compared to19~20years age-group.3) On the other hand, subjects in6~7,8~9years age-groups showed greater EAs in double legs stance with their eyes open and eyes closed, and single leg stance with their eyes open, when compared to19~20years age-group(P<0.01). However, subjects in10~11,12~13,15~16years age-groups did not demonstrate significant greater EAs than19~20years age-group.4)12~13and15~16age-groups’ height is relativity between balance index,19-20age-groups’height is positively related to three balance index.5) Physical fitness test scores is nonexistent correlativity between most balance index.ConclusionsResearch of the basis of6-20teenagers in the static balance test, draw the following Conclusions:1) With the increase of age, adolescents static balance function perfect gradually, at12years of age the balance index are not significantly different between with19-20old levels;2) Although the different stages of male and female students in individual balance index existence difference, but overall, there are no difference of balance function between male and female students;3) Different age stages of adolescent during static standing, body sway amplitude dynamic show different patterns. The19-20age-group showed higher stability, but the other age groups present different levels, different types of wave.4) Adolescent body morphology index, body morphology index, physical fitness test performance has no apparent connection between most balanced index.
