Football is a sport departments required is an important basic key course, it as the cradle of talent education of sports in our country, we must reform the teaching according to the characteristics of knowledge and economy era, train suitable talents. At present, to explore the aspects of football teaching content of physical education in China in the football field researchers mostly confined to one aspect of the comprehensive study of the status quo, in the course of sports major football is minimal, and the research has not fully reflect the teaching process of football course in the problem, cannot reflect the teaching course of sports major football picture. In this study, through the deep study and Analysis on the existing professional football course in Chongqing city in7ordinary universities sports teaching problems, and combined with the interrelated sports talent demand and the football teaching process of contemporary social environment, as well as the combination of interrelated teaching process and the sports curriculum present requirements, in order to grasp the teaching reform of the course in order to further improve the direction, to provide a solid theoretical basis to carry out professional football general course of physical education in Colleges and universities in china.This article uses the literature material method, interview method, on-the-spot investigation method, mathematical statistics and other research methods, analysis of the teaching outline of Chongqing college sports professional football course, present situation of football general course and relevant countermeasures were studied. The results show that the football course in Colleges and universities in Chongqing City, the guiding ideology, curriculum objectives, curriculum, teaching content, teaching methods, evaluation and so there are irrational phenomenon to varying degrees:the guiding ideology to the course standard, ignoring the social standard and individual standard; curriculum goal for more knowledge and skills, ignore the target process, attitude and value view; class no scientific standards; materials of choice for the majority of general materials, and do not rearrange with related teaching materials; teaching methods and means relatively traditional, some successful teaching method has not been popularized and applied; teaching content focused on football skills and lack of theoretical knowledge in students’ comprehensive; ability is not enough:curriculum assessment to focus only on technical standards.According to the research results, combined with the current physical education curriculum reform, puts forward suggestions for the reform of professional football general course of physical education in Colleges and universities in Chongqing city:1Relocation of Football General Course2Construction of new social demand for teaching syllabus3Combined with self-compiled textbooks science textbooks4Scientific and rational choice of teaching content5Reform and innovation of teaching methods and means6To strengthen the comprehensive ability of students, especially the students’ teaching ability.7To improve the assessment content and assessment standards, establish multivariate evaluation method and system.8To strengthen cooperation in research and exchange between colleges and universities, to improve the football course reform.
