As human society enters the era of knowledge economy,mathematics plays anincreasingly important role in the natural sciences, social sciences, and thedevelopment of scientific thinking. And the application of mathematics has becomeincreasingly widespread. Mathematical phenomena and mathematical problems in lifeare everywhere, and it has also penetrated into all areas of human life. Mathematics isan important part of human culture, and it has become the basic qualities that mostcitizens should have. Mathematics reading ability is the basic skill and self-learningability for students to learn mathematics and science. Junior high school stage isimportant turning point from an early age into the youth, it’s also an important periodof learning mathematics. In line with the objective, scientific attitude, the importanceof standing at a new vision and perspective to analysis,it’s necessary to improveSchool Mathematics Teaching strategy and find suitable experiments.It is different between Math reading and ordinary reading. Maths reading is notjust reading. The mathematics language is logic rigor and abstract. Therefore,Mathematics reading requires a high degree of the thinking and logic, It requiresreaders to use both hands and brain, and to make a combination of reading and writing.It can also be said that the mathematical process of reading is the process ofmathematical thinking.The survey shows the sense of mathematics reading of today’s junior high schoolstudents is poor. Most students do the math mathematical reading only when they aredoing the math exercises, or their parents force them to do it. Most students lack ofgood mathematical habits and self-monitoring capabilities. With modern educationand psychology research methods, the author finds the difference between ordinaryreading and mathematics reading, and tries to find the main reason for maths dyslexiavia the way of research of modern education and psychology. Combined with resultsof reading research, practical experience of mathematics reading teaching and the realsituation of students, the thesis explores strategies to improve students’ reading abilityand test effectiveness of the teaching experiment.Through two years’ teaching practice, in the experimental class students can doeffectively mathematics reading after forming a good reading motivation, havingsome mathematical reading strategies and having a certain degree of self-monitoringcapabilities. Their mathematical reading level and math cognitive performance areimproved.The result of the study is analyzed from different perspectives and combinedwith the teaching practice. On the basis of careful study, the author makes manydifferent suggestions for enhancing the junior high school students’ mathematicsreading ability.
