Tang Dynasty is at its peak of the whole feudal society, duringthis period, it has always had fair government, flourished economy,got on well with the races, developed technology and culture, aswell as the free social environment. Although they have theircharacteristics, they have been influenced by the laws which madeby Confucius, filial piety is still necessary for women in TangDynasty. During the earlier and later stage of Tang Dynasty, filialpiety of women on education has been changing with the socialenvironment and needs, the change is very clear here. Besides,different levels of women in Tang Dynasty must accept differentfilial piety education, a woman must also accept different filial pietyeducation during her different period of life(when she is a girl, a wifeas well as a mother.). Therefore, the content of filial piety of womenin Tang Dynasty is abundant and complete. Apart from the abundantbasic theory, it has been with quite effective practical methods. In aword, the Tang Dynasty had has attached importance to filial pietyof women on education a lot, even surpassed all the dynastiesbefore or after it.There are six parts in the whole thesis:The first chapter focuses on the purpose and significance of thisstudy, as well as the research condition, definitions, methods andso on. The second chapter concentrates on filial piety of women oneducation before Tang Dynasty.The third chapter introduces the filial piety of women in TangDynasty on education, especially the changes in context, object,content and methods between the earlier and later period of TangDynasty.The fourth chapter focuses on the methods of filial piety ofwomen in Tang Dynasty on education. There are six methods in thispart.The fifth chapter concentrates on the practical condition of filialpiety of women in Tang Dynasty on education. It includes thepractical condition of girls and wives, types as well as characters.The sixth chapter focuses on its great significance to moderndays.In a word, the Tang Dynasty had has attached importance to filialpiety of women on education a lot, even surpassed all the dynastiesbefore or after it.
