Research On The Project Management Based On The Workflow Management

Along with the development of the Information and the Concurrent Engineering, thenew Management system is formed gradually in the modern manufacturing, which is thecoordinated and the control of cost, quality, time and human resources in the Productdevelopment Project life cycle. Therefore, the application research of the ProjectManagement (Project Management) also got a great progress, which made the ProjectManagement function of the Product Data Management (Product Data Management)system got the attention of the enterprise gradually. While the research of the traditionalproject management is mainly focused on its internal knowledge system, and the study ofthe project management which integrated in the workflow management of the PDM systemis less, but the PDM system provided the integrated development system and the integratedframework, which can be the basic to exploit the project management system that based onthe workflow management technology in the PDM system.Combined with the YZPDM System Design which came from the project of theDigital key laboratory in Anhui province and the Yangzi Air-conditioning enterprise, thisarticle designed the project management tool based on the workflow management that canbe integrated in the PDM system, which provided a complete solution for the projectmanagement work of the new product development in the modern enterprises. The researchand discussion of papers in the following points:1. The research, development background, trends and achievements of the productdata management system and the project management technology which based on theworkflow technique are summarized.2. The basic theory of the project management is described, and the studied is mainlyto the project life cycle, project organization structure, project task decomposition structure(WBS), project planning and project process control method.3. Combined with the application of workflow management technology in the PDMsystem, the integration principle and the integration model of the project managementsystem and the workflow management technology are analyzed, and then theimplementation model is put forwarded which integrated with the workflow managementand the project management system.4. on the basis of constructing the project management system and the structure ofprocess of the new product development project, used the method of the object-orientedmodeling combining with the structured design, the static structure model of the fileinformation management, task decomposition and plan development are constructed, thanused of the programming language, the function module design of the project managementsystem is completed which based on the workflow management. There are five functionmodule including the project definition, task decomposition, resource allocation, progresscontrol, project information. This system has obtained the good practice to use effect.
