With the rapid development of the education career in China, the amount ofinstitutions of higher learning is in a rapid expansion both in quantity and scale. At thesame time, the vocational education is strongly supported by national policy. With thistendency, the number of vocational education students is largely increasing, therefore acry for a design of management systems for the students managing in the highervocational colleges, which can play a significant role in improving the management ofvocational colleges.Faced with the increasingly complex work, the traditional manual counselormanagement alone cannot meet the positive effects coming from the IT development tothe social progress and universities. Because of a serious lack of supportingmanagement software for the counselor, there is a needy demand to develop a suitablecounselor management system, not only to enhance the classroom management, but alsoimprove the office efficiency. In order to enhance the management of students, deducethe counselor’s workload and some man-made error, the college especially put forwarda research topic:“Sichuan Vocational-Technical College counselors work managementinformation systems”.The information manage system is adopted to the structure of the B/S structure,using the ASP.NET development environment and SQL Server2005’s database todesign and development a new system, which is also adopted the object-orientedUnified Modeling Language analysis and design. This subject briefly describes thebackground and environment of the counselors’ working management informationsystems’ development. The architecture of the system is analyzed in details and dividedinto various modules: the teacher module, student module, the administrator module.The three modules are subdivided into the modified information: student information,performance management, scholarship management, reviews management, work planmodule. On the basis of the analysis, this thesis is mainly on the introducing of all modules of the manage system and on the realization of the principle of the variousmodules and functions of the system described in detail.
