The Ordos basin is a gentle monoclinic and its structure is simple. Its oil and gas reservoirs are invisible lithology reservoir. The Upper Paleozoic reservoirs are the main river-delta sandstone. The reservoirs are thin and horizontal phase change quickly, Drilling well or logging well has high-resolution, but after all, it is one-sided. Seismic data has lower-resolution, and multiple explanations, but it has unique advantages of horizontal lateral continuity in the reservoir prediction.This paper adopts the research ideas of combination processing and interpretation, geophysics and geology, convention and inversion. Full utilize the region’s geology, logging, seismic data, forward modeling, seismic inversion, seismic faces analysis, seismic attribute analysis to carry on reservoir prediction and take the advantages of integrated methods and find the effective methods suitable for Upper Paleozoic reservoir horizontal prediction methods of the eastern part of the Ordos base and techniques and process parameters.Establish three geological models on the basis of study of river-delta sedimentary depositional systems and mode of Shanxi group and Shihezi group, such as channel model, channel migration model, silting inter-layer model and carry on forward modeling and conduct a reliable theoretical basis in the research of waveform characteristics. Based on analysis of reflection shapes and structure, establish riverway sandstone interpretation mode of seismic.Based on the analyses of waveform characteristics and qualitative interpretation of attribute analysis in conventional seismic profile, test a variety of methods of application of inversion conditions, advantages and limitations to inverse sub-group3of sanxi and sub-group8of shihezi, the main layers of Upper Paleozoic. Geological model as a guide, using various methods integrated predicted sand body distribution planar and distribution characters of sub-group3of sanxi and sub-group8of shihezi, decreasing multiple explanations, thus making the results more in line with the forecast of geology, increasing reservoir prediction accuracy. Make uses of the research results for natural gas exploration wells optimization of2007in the eastern part and be achieved excellent exploration results, fully proved the effectiveness of research ideas of combining processing and interpretation, geophysics and geology, and convention inversion.
