This paper uses the theories of botany,trace element geochemistry,petrology andmineralogy to systematically investigate the natural landscape conditions and thecharacteristic of plant community of the Nanpo copper mining area in Xishuangbanna、theFuhezhong W-Sn-Sb-Au Polymetallic orefield in east Guangxi and the Dachangtin-polymetallic orefield in northwestern Guangxi,find out the distribution and transportationcharacteristics of main ore-forming elements and other associated elements in the rock、soiland plants in the different types of ore deposits,then reveal the effective indicator plants andelements of the different mining area. On the basis of measuring the botanogeochemicalprofile in the diiferent types of metal deposit、the anomaly characteristics parameters arecalculated and the cross-section of botanogeochemical anomalies are drawn,respectively. Itreveals the combination characteristics of the abnormal elements、 the width of thecomprehensive anomalous and the abnormal elements zoning of the different types of thedeposits. Further more,this paper discusses that the location and the burial depth of theconcealed ore bodies can be speculated by botanogeochemical anomaly characteristics,finallythe theoretical model of the prospenting availability of the botanogeochemical anomalycharacteristics can be established. The results of the study not only have important theoreticalsignificance to enrich and develop the geochemical behavior of the microelements in differentplant species and evaluate the effectiveness of the botanogeochemical prospecting,but alsohave the practical significance to further standardize the key technology of thebotanogeochemical measurement method and promote the productive application ofexploration botanogechemistry in china.The research comes to the results:①The contents of the trace elements especially theore-forming elements and their companion elements in rock、soil and plants in the mining areaare higher than background area,and have higher contrast coefficient,this implies that thereis certain material inheritance between rock、soil and plants,in other words the formation ofbotanogeochemical anomaly can reflect geochemical characteristics of rock、soil and extractmineralization information.②Tremendous differences were shown by which the differentplant species or different organs of the same species have the absorption and enrichmentability to various elements. The plants which growing in envirnonment of high matelconcentrations caused by mineralization have tolerance mechanisms to forced-absorptionlarge amounts of mineral elements,which is reflected by contrast coefficient of elements inthe plants growing in the mining area;on the other hand,the plants with shielding effectsrefused to absorb certain elements especially toxic elements or concentrated these elements inthe roots or leaves of plants,in order to maintain the normal growth. Considering theinfluence factors of these two aspects,contrast coefficient(KCD) and shielding coefficient (Ko elements can be regarded as two indexes to select and appraise prospecting effectivPeZ)findicator plants.③The choice of the effective indicator plants and elements in the differenttypes of ore deposits as shown below:Pteris sp.、Garcinia cowa、Dicranopteris pedata andBolbites heteroclita(Cu、Ag、W、Pb、As) can be selected as prospecting effective indicatorplants(elements) in Nanpo copper mining area,Xishuagnbanna; Cunninghamia Lanceolata(Lamb.)Hook.、 Myricarubra(Lour.)Sieb.etZucc、 Pinus massoniana、Lyonia ovalifolia、Rhododendron simsii and Dicranopteris dichotoma(W、Sn、Au and Cu、Pb、Zn、Cd、Ag、Bi、Mo、As) can be selected in Fuhezhong W-Sn-Sb-Au Polymetallic orefield; Sapiumsebiferum、 Pinus massoniana、 Cunninghamia Lanceolata(Lamb.)Hook.、 Cinnamomumcamphora (L.) Presl(Pb、W、Bi、Mo、Ag、As、Sb) can be selected in Dachang tin-polymetallicorefield.④The use of Pteris sp. and Dicranopteris pedata for the study ofbotanogeochemical anomaly characteristics, the research finds that good botanogeochemicalsynthetical anomaly are developed in the upper part of the various types of ore deposits, it hasgood definition、high strength, and good element zoning.⑤This study demonstration that thebotanogeochemical survey methods can be applied to different scale and different explorationstages of mineral exploration work.
