In recent years,with the rapid development of modern electronic technology,especially with the progress of defense and space technology, the accuracy andreal-time requirements of time and frequency are becoming more and morehigh.Today,there are two high precision time and frequency method: two-way satellitetime transfer and GPS common-view method.The method of GPS common-viewmethod only need a multi-channel GPS receiver.It is simple equipment and lowpower,Its greatest weakness is limited by the United States. In this context, GPScommon-view method has been difficult to meet the requirement of the developmentof science and technology in china.The two-way satellite time transfer has theadvantage of real-time,high precision and small influence by the external..So it hasbeen adopted by ITU as global time transfer standard.In this thesis,,the working theory of the two-way satellite time transfer isdiscussed.The baseband is treated as the mainly discuss object.First the basebandtheoretical foundation are introduced in details.The working principle and compositionare analysed in-depth.The unit modules in baseband are designed in detail.Then thehardware platform are introduced,the characteristics and usage of important chip areanalysed. Finally,a experiment has been taken,the steps and the methods are describedand the data are collected. After8hours of work,the data of two-way satellite timetransfer has been collected,the peak to peak value data is1.85ns.The test results show that the accuary of two-way satellite time transfer is morehigher than GPS common-view method.two-way satellite time transfer is a verypromising technology.And the core technology in baseband will become one of the hotresearch topic in the future.
