In recent years, some lightning disasters have severely affected the communicationsystems and computers in cities, and usually caused the building damage or seriousincident of human or animal casualties and so on. Lightning disaster has been classifiedas "one of ten worst natural disasters" by relevant departments of United Nations, andconsidered "a major public hazard in electronic age" by the Chinese ElectrotechnicalCommission. At present the development of lightning monitoring, forecasting and earlywarning of products and services have become a important constituent in society ofpeople’s lives and defense lightning system. While the lightning monitoring andaccurate forecast and early warning lighting can reduce the losses and damage causedon a great extent. Therefore, with the continuous improvement of lightning awareness,people’s requirements for lightning warning become more and more urgently.At present, our principal lightning warning forecast method is analysis ofmeteorological data include weather radar echo comprehensive diagram, meteorologicalsatellite cloud map and so on, and combine with forecasters forecast experience. Butlacking of more specific accurate basis, lightning warning is usually a false forecastresults or shortly warning time. Basing on the forecast method in the original andcombing with the analysis of atmospheric electric field data and lightning locationsystem data, the paper improve the lightning warning forecast accuracy. So peoplereceive accurate thunderstorm warning information before the lightning coming, andpromptly take effective preventive measures.This dissertation briefly introduces the lightning forming principle, theatmospheric electric field and lightning detection technology, and with the atmosphericelectric field material as a foundation, analyzed the corresponding relation and theircharacters between atmosphere electric field and lightning weather in PanYu. Warningof atmosphere electric field should base on its intensity threshold grade and frequentdithering of electric field curve according to changing regulation about atmosphereelectric field. In order to enhance the lightning detection and warning capability, byanalyzing the characteristic of electric field temporal difference between fair weather and lightning weather, it can succeed in more accurately and short time lightningwarning. The result showes that the atmosphere electric field intensity fluctuationoccurs irregularly when lightning happens. Combined setting abnormal threshold valuefor great change of atmosphere electric field with electric field temporal difference caneffectively carry out lightning warning and forecast in advanced. The method to makelightning warning mentioned can be achieved by software Visual C++. The function ofits interface includes lightning situation, real-time electric field values, thecorresponding curve and lightning warning level as the center of PanYu District,Guangzhou Bureau of Meteorology with30km radius. Finally, it was tested shows thatthe weather forecasters can visually see the changes of the electric field and trends ofthe lightning. According to the thunderstorms level of lightning warning systemwarning, we can determine the development of thunderstorms accurately. Thus theshort-term weather forecasts will be more accurate than ever that it wasmisrepresentation, omission, etc. with only relying on radar echoes, satellite cloud andforecasting experience.
