The Damahe Pb-Zn deposit in Lancang county of Yunnan province is located in southern part of Chong mountains-lincang-menghai arc belt of Lincang-jinghong fold bundle in Sanjiang fold system. The folding bundle is situated in the west of the north of north west Lancang river fault and south of north west Heihe river fracture, east of the Lancang river plate junction, and juncture location of Changning-LanCang back-arc uplift belt and Lincang, menghai granite belt. The intracontinental deformation of activity that since Mesozoic is very strong in this area and the main structure is the fracture deformation. The north west fault is important (Baizhang fault), which presents large scale and extends dozens to hundreds of kilometers, and often cut the contact line between granite base and LanCang group. Thus often form larger fracture zone which provide a good transportation and storage space for the formation of ore deposits in this research area.The predecessors’research data and results were widely collected in this study. Combining regional geological background, mining area geological background and geological characteristics of ore deposit in the study area, analyzed the metallogenic regularity in the study area, then provided the basis for the next step of prospecting work in the study area based on the method of tectonic geochemistry. The main conclusions obtained are as follows:1-. The fault in the research area are mainly northwestern, north-southern and nearly north-eastern, which all are compression shear fractures.2> The Pb-Zn deposit is primary controlled by faulted structure in this research area. In this area, the disclosed ore body distributes along the northwestern and north-southern trending in fracture tectonic belt. Main types of ore body were vein and lens shape.3n Based on R cluster analysis and R factor analysis of tectonic geochemical elements, obtained the combination feature shows that:The medium temperature ore-forming elements Cu、Pb、Zn、Ag gathered together, and considered that the metallogenic environment in the research area is mainly medium temperature environment.4、According to the R factor score values, got the factor combination the geochemical anomaly map of ore-forming indicator elements (Cu, Pb,Zn, Ag), found that the orientation of macroaxis is spread along the north western, south-northern, and nearly northeastern in the abnormal area, Which reflects that the spreading direction of the ore body is correspond to the fracture direction in the research area,5、Combining the geological feature and tectonic geochemical characteristics in the study area, selected three prospecting area, two of which located in Tanglishu-Shuangma ore block, and one in Shibaozi ore block. They pointed out the direction for future prospecting work.
