At the promote of the global climate change, China’s economic、rapid expansionand more be overly dependent on fossil energy,a large number CO2discharge to causeenvironment stress and international pressure bigger and bigger.At the present timeCarbon dioxide geological storage potential capacity analysis and suitabilityassessment is one of focus areas of research. According to 《The geological potentialfor storing carbon dioxide and suitability for the evaluation of technical》,In evaluatingthe precision、From low to high level for, it is national level, the targets, basin andpouring level, the level of the evaluation stage. We study on basin level.Qaidam Basin is one of the most important sedimentary bases in China. Carbondioxide geological storage potential capacity analysis and suitability assessment is ofsignificance to reduce greenhouse gas emission reduction works. Based on theconceptualization of regional geological structures, hydrological conditions, oil andgas geology, geothermal, seismic and tectonic characteristics of Qaidam Basin,setup suitability of the indicator system of evaluation the carbon dioxide geologicalstorage potential capacity and suitability assessment works have been carried out. Findout suitable areas for carbon dioxide geological storage,Provide a basis research ontargets.(1)Through a lot of data collected about the Geologic, Stratigraphic Rockquality,Reservoir and the cap rock thickness,the earth’s crust stability,distributed ofCarbon sources,geothermal features in the research situation.All of the indicatorsapply with Autocad、surfer、Mapgis、CorelDRAW、Photoshop related drawingsoftware to analyze and to quantitative Geological figure、Pprecise coordinates of aprojection、Graphical corrections, space analysis, create the contour line of QaidamBasin,Tables illustrate the indicators in every grade structure of the distribution(2)Consider about the deeper salt water, oil and gas field distribution in researchsituation,Through select the corresponding formula then calculate out the researchsituation Carbon dioxide geological storage potential capacity analysis result.According to the result,the reserves of the deep salt water aquifers storing potential95.64%,the gas field storing potential3.65%,at the last the oil Of all the1%. in potential.(3)Comprehensive consideration about geological structures,storage capacity,social economy,the ecological environment, security and public awareness of themany factors,compared with the research situation Carbon dioxide geologicalstorage suitability based on weight evaluation. Evaluate the results indicate,in QaidamBasin the grade structure of the unit: the Eastern stuck is a suitable rank, then theNorthern piece of broken and the western stuck of general district. The results ofevaluations and qaidam Basin in the geological condition distribution and distributedin oil and gas field trend.
