With the developing of seismic exploration technology, software is becoming acore technology in the field of geophysics and petroleum exploration. Now mountaingeophysics is faced with many technical problems, and one of them is that velocity dataprocessing methods are simple and inefficient, which can’t meet the needs of seismicdata processing in the complicated mountain areas.Firstly, do sufficient research about the velocity data processing methods of themainstream commercial software at home an abroad. Secondly, draw on the experienceof the advantages of Omega processing software, etc. Lastly, adopt a series of coretechnologies and develop a set of processing software for seismic velocity data onmountainous areas. In this thesis, the main research achievements are follows:1. An efficient seismic velocity data retrieval method has been put forward. Onesequential index table is designed to store the velocity data, which can improve theefficiency of the random retrieval when interpolating.2. An optimal extrapolation method for seismic work area has been put forward. The method can quickly create the smallest work area which covers all small work areas, and it improves the extrapolation efficiency greatly, which saves a lot of processingcosts. Now, this method has been applied for a patent for invention.3. A new sorting algorithm for two-dimension table has been put forwarded. Itadopts the hash table to assist in two-dimension table sorting, and the time complexity isreduced from O(n*log2n*m) to O(n*log2n).4. Eight core processing modules are implemented. They provide multi-functionand high-performance seismic data processing methods. The visualization for2D/3Dvelocity data based-on Handvel format has been implemented. Visualizing doeseffective analysis for the results of velocity data processing.
