In the process of oil extraction, there will be dislocation and other damage ofcasing by a variety of geological factors and the impact of production down the hole. Ifwe can not determine the location of dislocation, the casing can not be repaired, it willresult in huge losses to the oil fields. There is not an effective and accurate method inthe mixed medium detecting casing breaking position. This paper presents a method ofdetermining the location of dislocation. Study the ultrasonic propagation characteristicsof underground mixed media and analyze the various parameters of the positionmeasurement by establishing experimental simulation system.This paper analyzes the environment downhole and the dislocation form, derivedthe main factors affecting ultrasonic velocity and attenuation affecting characteristics ina mixed medium, and analyzed the acoustic characteristics that would impact thesimulation experiment.Put forward ranging principle, build a simulation system, determine the parametersof the ultrasonic transducer. Completed the debugging of the data collection and dataprocessing. And carries on the overall test of the experiment system.Carry out experiments on simulation system to study the various factors impactingultrasonic measurement, analysis the causes of measurement deviation. The experimentverified it is feasible to determine the location of dislocation by ultrasonic.Experiments show that this method can get the accurate detection of the position ofthe casing and casing characteristics.In a complex mixture of medium.
